Handling your riflescope in an efficient manner

Even the top class quality instruments can give away when they are not handled properly. The result is either a broken or damaged machine or results that are neither up to the mark nor appreciated by you. And when the equipment in question has delicate parts like glass lens as in case of the Binoculars, rifle scopes, range finders and spotting scopes, you have to be doubly careful about its use.

For example, when you buy one of the new rifle scopes for your use you can turn the eyepiece gently counter clockwise so that it opens up quite nicely. Then you may turn it clockwise for five turns. View some bright spot through the scope and you could focus better if the same is mounted on some firm stand. Again turn the eyepiece this time counter clockwise till the view becomes a little blurred. Now turn the eyepiece to get the exact focus. Take away your look from the scope and then look back again. If you find that the object is clearly visible then your focusing is correct.

Sometimes it may so happen that your focus seems to be a little blurred or it takes a little to time to become sharp either in your rifle scope or in your spotting scopes. This is an indication that you require further adjustments to your scopes. You can go through the process again and again till you achieve the correct focus and have your lens perfectly adjusted.
