Outdated Region Depends on Waves
Business July 27th, 2010My family is living in the city, but many of my relatives still stay in the rural areas. Here in the city we enjoy all the possibility of the gadgets and home technology, but not them. They only depend on their old radio to keep themselves updated about the news in the city. They’re television have a very poor reception so it’s also no use.
I told my parents that I wanted to visit our extended family in the reservation. And I suggested that we can surprise them with a new television with antenna and new radio. When we arrived there, we didn’t show them our gifts yet. We showed it after everyone was done eating dinner. I almost cried, because they are so happy! Especially my cousins, they hugged me so tight.
We put the television on a test then my dad tried to set up the antenna. After two hours we are all enjoying watching the television. This is what waves can do in our lives. It makes us happy because we are entertained! Before, I don’t really bother to know what waveguides are all about, and I don’t really care how rectangular waveguide and double ridge waveguide can help us with our daily lives. Now, I appreciate it more. My relatives and their lifestyle inspire me to be an Electronic Engineer someday.
