If the only way to get a tilting wheelchair device installed at my dentist is by having a petition signed, then that is what I am going to do. I have been in a wheelchair now for about thirty years and dread every time I need to be picked up out of my chair to get into any kind of exam chair. I do not care if it is at the doctors, the dentists or at any other place where they need me to be in their chair, I am always scared that I will fall.

When I read about this new tilting wheelchair device, I called and asked my healthcare providers if they had ever thought about installing one, and they all responded that they had never even heard of them. I forwarded the information onto them, that I had found and then gave them a few weeks to look it over and then called back. All but one of my doctors said that they were having them installed sometime in the next month. The one doctor that is not putting one in has responded by telling me that he does not see it as a necessary expense.

I intend to sit outside of the one doctor’s office to have a petition signed by every other wheelchair bound patient that he has, that will make him see that his patients think that it would be a very wise expense.
