Unique characteristics of Cisco products are evident from the fact that the product that is new in the market today will become used Cisco after a couple of month. The underlying IOS switching package gives you the CLI or the command line interface. You can define the modes however. They are managed with a separate layer of control other than the router. The router and switches is extremely user friendly. The only down side is the Cisco repair in this case that could be run by Cisco trained personnel alone.
