Your responsibility as purchaser of promotional products
Advertising October 8th, 2008As a buyer of the promotional products you have got certain responsibilities. You will be responsible for the goods and their suitability. Normally the provider will give you the products as per your descriptions but it will be you who will have to see that they are quite useful for your purposes. If you are going to procure some business gifts then your responsibility will be to see to it that you give the detailed and exact specification for your promotional item to be used as gifts.
Moreover most of the providers do not also take the responsibility in the delay in delivery of the promotional products you have ordered. Of course they would try to deliver you the merchandise in time but if there is any delay due to circumstances beyond their control they will not take any responsibility. The only liability that they assume is the total price of the goods to be delivered. Moreover if the goods supplied are sub standard or faulty, they will be considered only if the entire consignment is returned.
Most of the manufacturers will not pay for the carriage and it will be you who will have to pay for them. Similarly for large size samples of promotional merchandise also the buyer has to pay. But the cliché again is that these samples are to be returned in good condition within 14 days of delivery.
